Ciri Colee is a client-centered, process-oriented, Licensed Professional Counselor. She is also a Certified Addictions Counselor II.  A native of the Lowcountry, Ciri graduated high school Summa Cum Laude, Valedictorian, and then went on to Furman University, where she graduated with a BA in Religion/Psychology, Magna Cum Laude.  Ciri then attended Vanderbilt University and graduated with a MDiv, Magna Cum Laude. Ciri received her MEd in Clinical Counseling from the Citadel and graduated Summa Cum Laude.
 
Ciri's clinical training has been diverse and extensive. She completed an internship at MUSC's Institute of Psychiatry where she worked with both adults and adolescents.  She completed a practicum as an addictions therapist at Roper North Treatment Center.  She finished an internship at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, where she focused on emergency room interventions.
 
Ciri has practiced therapy privately and in several clinical settings, including Tuomey Regional Medical Center, Killingsworth Home for Women, the Crisis Center for Suicide Intervention, Roper North Treatment Center,  We Are Family, and Hospice at Charlotte.  She is currently employed as the Clinical Manager of Adolescent Treatment Services at the Charleston Center. She is a trainer in Motivational Enhancement Therapy. Ciri has also received additional training at Jungian workshops in dreamwork and art therapy.  She is also   practiced in Tai' Chi and dance therapy.
 
Ciri's first career was in ordained ministry.  She is currently ordained in the United Church of Christ.  A strong advocate of inclusive spirituality and tolerance for all religious views and faith perspectives, Ciri is sought after as a leader of retreats and as a public speaker.  Her own spiritual path is grounded in Native American, creation-centered spirituality. She is also very committed to multicultural concerns and works in advocacy with all people, regardless of age, gender, race, religion, affectional orientation, or socioeconomic status.
 
Ciri's hobbies include writing, music, photography, hiking, and biking.  She plays keyboards, guitar, percussion, and Native American flute and drum.  Ciri lives with her two dogs, Boo and Koti, who are her heart.
